“76% of Aesthetics Practitioners said that working in aesthetic medicine had MET THEIR EXPECTATIONS.”
Since i founded my aesthetics practice I have been both surprised and overwhelmed by the level of interest in aesthetics in my local area. I am thrilled that I already have a large client base, which continually grows now without much effort...word of mouth is my marketing tool now and I love that! It’s nice to know so many are so pleased with their treatment that they are talking about me to their friends, family and colleagues. I have one client who came in summer last year, and now I think I’m regularly treating her entire office. I love aesthetics, I don’t think i could ever give it up, and I only want to increase how much of it I do whilst remaining loyal to my role in the NHS.
“1 in 10 people have put off having cosmetic injectable treatments over fears it would leave them looking UNNATURAL.”
Whilst 1 in 10 doesn’t sound like any, I think it’s 1 too many putting off making themselves exponentially happier through fears of unnatural results. Unfortunately there are unqualified or inexperienced practitioners out there injecting people regularly, sometimes with unnatural or poor results. These are the results that make the headlines, this is why more responsible practitioners such as myself like to flood our feeds with our work, showing it doesn’t have to be that way.
Yes things can go wrong but they can almost always be put right. Additionally, aiming for natural-looking results is my primary goal with all of my clients, I have on one or two occasions not finished injecting a full 1ml of lip filler because I felt lips may look too big. My clients trust me, and I’m pleased to say both of these ladies are regular clients for lip filler now.
A thorough consultation and assessment of expectations, and choosing a professional Aesthetics Practitioner can keep you looking like the million-dollar version of YOU.
“In a survey of 650 patients, more than 20% of respondents DID NOT tell their significant other about their cosmetic procedure, and over 1/3 didn’t tell friends or family.“
Now sadly, this all comes down to taboo. Unfortunately injectable procedures are still seen by a high number of the population as being for the vain. Personally I find this to be a very naive view, having seen first hand the effects of treatments on those with asymmetrical features, uneven profiles or signifcant body hang ups. I’ve had clients burst into happy tears, jump up and hug me or even, in one case, grab hold of me in complete disbelief at their results. I have a body image hang-up so can relate to many of my clients, unfortunately my hang-up cant be corrected with an aesthetic treatment and I do just have to live with mine, but my point is cosmetic treatments are much more than ‘just for the vain’ or ‘not the done thing’. Best of all, you may be afraid to tell your friend/colleagues but I bet you they‘re all doing it, just not talking about it.
i have a friend practicing aesthetic medicine and she has a husband and wife come to her for various treatments and neither of them knows the other goes for treatment.
Be brave, speak up and change the taboo, showcase your amazing newfound confidence and prove its about more than vanity, its about living your best life!
“In a survey of 51,000 UK Snapchat users, more than 50% said they viewed procedures like lip fillers as COMPARABLE to getting a haircut or manicure.”
This one shocked me, I find it hard to imagine some people view aesthetic treatments in such a light manner. There are risks people! I never get complacent during consultatons, even when its apparent a client really wants treatment and won’t care what i mention as risks because they’ve made their mind up. That’s fine, but I want you to hear it all anyway.
Not least so that during recovery if you notice anything unusual you can let me know early and we can sort it out.
On a serious note, aesthetic treatments may be commonly available nowadays but honestly, its worth doing your research properly because some of the risks can and do happen to people. It’s much more than a visit to the nail salon or hairdresser. If something goes wrong there then, although frustrating, it can be fixed relatively easily. Your face on the other hand, it’s not so easy to fix in some instances.
Do your research and be sure its right for you before proceeding to treatment, make use of free consultations and get all your facts.
